Out of circulation so long that it became a little legend, this much sought-after indie flick with the title every distributor wanted to shorten has finally surfaced from Hollywood hell and found a home on DVD. And what a gem it is. Writer/co-star Colin Cunningham ("DaVinci's Inquest", "Breakfast with Scot") and Ben Ratner ("Dirty", "Mount Pleasant") are two Antipodean friends who look for common ground by hitting the road to escape their city lives, then find themselves involved with some of the most, um, unique members of humanity, often in the backseat of their Rambler. Memorable performances from every cast member make this far more than just another road movie filled with quirky characters. And we won't spoil the ride by telling you who or where Zacharia is, or what gave him gas. --GP |
